Problem
The Wireless Synchronization option is missing from the Address Book, MemoPad, Tasks, or Calendar.
Cause
The Service Book information is incorrect or has been corrupted.
Resolution
Complete one of the following options to regenerate the required Service Book information.
Resolution 1
Regenerate the Desktop[Sync] service book for Address Book, MemoPad and Tasks by completing the following steps:
For BlackBerry® Device Software 4.0.x
1. Go to Options > Service Book.
2. Click Desktop[Sync].
3. Display the menu and select Delete.
4. Display the menu again and select Undelete.
For BlackBerry Device Software 4.1.x or later
1. Go to Options > Advanced Options > Service Book.
2. Click Desktop[Sync].
3. Display the menu and select Delete.
4. Display the menu again and select Undelete.
Resolution 2
Regenerate the Desktop[CICAL] service book for the Calendar by completing the following steps:
For BlackBerry Device Software 4.0.x
1. Go to Options > Service Book.
2. Click Desktop[CICAL].
3. Display the menu and select Delete.
4. Display the menu again and select Undelete.
For BlackBerry Device Software 4.1.x or higher
1. Go to Options > Advanced Options > Service Book.
2. Click Desktop[CICAL].
3. Display the menu and select Delete.
4. Display the menu again and select Undelete.
Resolution 3
Regenerate all Desktop service books by completing the following steps:
For BlackBerry Device Software 4.0.x
1. Go to Options > Service Book.
2. Delete all the Service Books starting with the word Desktop (default setting).
3. Contact your BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator and request that service books be resent. For instructions, see Resolution 4.
For BlackBerry Device Software 4.1.x
1. Go to Options > Advanced Options > Service Book.
2. Delete all the Service Books starting with the word Desktop (default setting).
3. Contact your BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator and request that service books be resent. For instructions, see Resolution 4.
Resolution 4
1. Clear the service book database using BlackBerry® Desktop Manager. For instructions, see KB05010.
2. Resend the service books using BlackBerry Desktop Manager or the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
Using BlackBerry Desktop Manager
Service books are sent after a new encryption key is generated. See KB02740 for instructions on how to generate a new encryption key with BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

Using BlackBerry Enterprise Server
1. Open BlackBerry Manager and select the BlackBerry smartphone user account.
2. In the tasks list, select IT Admin and click Resend Service Book.
Resolution 5
Resend service books from BlackBerry Enterprise Server:
For BlackBerry Device Software 4.1.x or later
1. Go to Options > Advanced Options > Service Book.
2. Click Desktop[Sync].
3. Open the menu and select Delete.
4. Resend service books from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. For instructions, see Resolution 4.
