No option to enable wireless email reconciliation on the BlackBerry smartphone

Problem
There is no option to enable wireless email reconciliation on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Cause
The service book information is corrupt.

Resolution
Regenerate a new service book. To perform this, complete the following steps:
1. Verify the wireless option is turned on and the BlackBerry smartphone is receiving General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), 1X, or NXTL with a strong signal (4 or 5 bars).
2. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager and connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
3. Open Backup and Restore and click Advanced.
4. In the Databases section, select the Service Book database and click Clear.
5. Disconnect the BlackBerry smartphone from the computer and perform a hard reset. For instructions, see KB02141.
6. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
7. Resend the service book.
Delete and undelete the Desktop [CMIME] service book from the BlackBerry smartphone. To perform this, complete the following steps:
1. On the Home screen, click Options.
Note: Depending on the theme on the BlackBerry smartphone, it may be necessary to click Settings, then Options.
2. If BlackBerry Device Software 4.1 or later is being used, click Advanced Options, then Service Book.
If BlackBerry Device Software 4.0 or earlier is being used, click Service Book.
3. Click Desktop [CMIME] and select Delete.
4. When prompted to confirm, click Delete.
5. Open the menu and select Undelete.
If the issue is not resolved, complete steps 1 to 7 above and proceed to complete the following from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server:
1. In BlackBerry Manager, clear the BlackBerry smartphone personal identification number (PIN). For instructions on changing BlackBerry smartphone user statistics, please see the appropriate Administration Guide for the version of BlackBerry Enterprise Server that is installed.
2. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
3. Resend the service book.
